We understand the importance to inmates of receiving letters. It’s a sign that someone cares, that someone wants to hear from them and that they are being remembered. We also understand that the lives of family members do not stop and can sometimes seem to pick-up pace once loved ones begin their sentence, meaning that they are unable to write as much as they would like. Often this leads to family members feeling guilty for allowing time to pass by.

The ROD Group works to reduce the pressure upon families and to increase the morale of inmates by writing letters, sending uplifting and positive magazines and bulletins. We also encourage inmates to write back to us.

We do this through both hand-written, posted letters and through the online platform “emailaprisoner”.
